Hi, I’m David. I’ve helped brands forge stronger connections with people for the last 12 years.

Currently, I’m an Integrated Strategy Director for the Gatorade team at TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles, crafting how we bring big creative ideas to life across paid, earned, and owned channels. Before Chiat, I spent a few years next door at our sister agency, TBWA\Media Arts Lab, shepherding global digital and social efforts for the Shot on iPhone and Apple brand teams.

I landed in the Golden State after surviving six years of Midwestern winters in Chicago, where I built award-winning social presences for brands like Nissan, Subway, and VMware at Zócalo Group (now part of Critical Mass).

I’m unabashedly a numbers guy. I love getting lost in the data and unearthing the tiny, yet impactful insights others miss. I’m also a firm believer that the only way to stay ahead is by constantly questioning (and testing) what you think you know.

However, I’m not entirely left-brained. I’m passionate about staying connected to culture and smashing my filter bubbles. From the weird corners of Reddit to the latest prestige TV series, I know you have to understand the conversation if you want to make a brand a part of it.

Outside the office, you’ll find me doing a little culinary cultural immersion at your neighborhood Ethiopian (or Indonesian, Pakistani, Russian…) restaurant, posted up in the front row of an indie hip-hop show, or convincing myself this is finally the year for my hometown Cleveland Browns.
